Jane Harp Obituary
Jane was preceded in death by her husband Ronald R. Harp in 1992.
She is survived by daughter Ellen J. Harp of Prescott, Arizona, son Randolph H. Harp (wife Debbie and family), of Sierra Vista, Arizona, grandson Mathew R. Harp (wife Melinda), great grandson Donovan and great granddaughter Brianna, of Gilbert Arizona.
Jane lived her early life in Battle Creek, Michigan, graduating from Battle Creek Public School to continue her education in Forest Glen, Maryland, a suburb of Washington, DC at National Park College. After graduating, Jane traveled to New York City to attend and graduate from Tobé-Coburn School for Fashion Careers. While in New York Jane met the love of her life Ron during the war years and married in 1946 at the Riverside Church, in New York. During their life in Battle Creek, Jane was very active in social and civic activities along with Ron. In 1964 Jane, Ron, Ellen and Randy moved to Yuma. Jane once again became involved with the community, such as Yuma Fine Arts Association, Rotary, PEO and was a life long member of the Christian Science Church. Wonderful mother, mother-in-law grandmother and dear friend, she will be missed.
There will be no services. The family requests that remembrances be made in Jane's memory to your favorite charity. There will be a celebration of Jane's life at a later date.

My deepest sympathies to Ellen and Randy. Jane was a loving mom to both, and a wonderful surrogate mom to me and Ellen's other friends, who invaded the house and pool, enjoying her hospitality without probably remembering to tell her how wonderful she was to all of us.

So sorry to hear about Jane's passing! I have known Jane for several years through P.E.O. We are in the same chapter. What a regal, wonderful person she was. Jane will be truly missed.
