Jerome Lamont (J.C.) Obituary
He married Sharon Casper in 1952 and began raising a family of three children. He worked for both the state of Minnesota and St. Peter and Pauls Catholic Church in Mankato. In 1966 he attended the Border Patrol Academy and worked as an agent in the Yuma, Arizona area for 3 years.
In 1969 J.C. became a U.S. Customs Inspector and was stationed at the Port of Andrade. In 1986 he relocated to Toronto, Ontario, Canada, where he worked pre-clearance for international flights. In 1990 J.C. relocated to L.A. where he worked at LAX until 1994. While in L.A. J.C. met and married his beloved wife of 19 years, Nancy. After his retirement in 1994, Nancy and J.C. moved to Sun City West, Arizona. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, skiing, and reading.
J.C. was preceded in death by his parents Sam and Theda, and youngest brother, Jeff.
He is survived by his wife Nancy, sons Mike (Nancy) and Chris (Anita), daughter Shawn (Kevin), brothers Jason and Jim 9 grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
J.C. was a wonderful husband and father. We will miss you Dad! May angels lead you in. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of the Valley at www.hov.org.

I was out of town and my wife saw this in the newspaper, so I'm a little late. I worked with Jerry in Andrade and I can remember nothing but great times. You had many friends and as I can see from the entries a loving family, the mark of a great life!

Dear Shawn and Family,
Please accept our sincere condolences. We are sorry to hear about Jerry's passing. I knew Jerry when I was a Border Patrol Agent in Yuma and he was assigned to the Port of Entry at Andrade, CA. He was always a true professional and a nice man to always talk with. May you find comfort in all the fond memories that you all have of him.

I had a great step-dad growing up. He used to take me to Senator Wash on the weekends, boat us out to the island, put the worms on my plastic fishing pole, and we'd catch little sunfish...just the two of us. It's one of the best memories I have in my mind. He helped shape and mold me into the person I am today and he never made me feel like I was less than his own daughter. I will always love and treasure the memories that he gave me. RIP Jerry Lamont.

I was very saddened to learn of the death of J.C. We became friends in 1966 and worked together for years. He was a good friend and wonderful co-worker and will be missed. My sincere condolences go out to Mike, Chris, Shawn and their families. May he rest in peace.
