Mary and Phil (Spud) were a pleasure and joy in our lives. We were always so happy to see them when they would come down our driveway after arriving here in Yuma. Phil had done volunteer work for us at the golf course for several years.
My parents, my brother and sister-in-law, Bruce and I traveled to Montana the summer of 1996 or 1997 and visited with Mary and Phil at their home on the beautiful river. We had lunch in their home and all went out to dinner that night. (Great lunch and delicious cookies!!!) What a lady. Look in the dictionary under lady and you see Mary. We were in town for 2 days.
We had several dinners, luches and good visits with them here in Yuma over the years.
We enjoyed them whether Bruce was working on the '39 Buick or on our car port.
We enjoyed their attending the car show and driving in the parade for "Midnight at the Oasis" (car show). Our kids loved them too. They knew how to have fun.
We feel that we know all of you as we heard about all of you and the births of the babies that they were so proud of. They were such a fun couple to be around. They each would get a twinkle in their eyes when they spoke of each other or of each of you.
We will miss them very much here in Yuma as will everyone whose lives they touched. We are so sorry for your loss. Our lives were blessed to have known and loved them.
May God Bless each one of you and bring you comfort in your memories. They are joined together again with each other and with their former spouses in Heaven.
Our love and condolences to you,
Diane and Bruce Cuming
