Nancy Hook Obituary
It is with a hole in our hearts that we mourn the passing and honor the life of Nancy Hook. Born January 3, 1939, she passed on July 8, 2018.

Nancy's full life was an expression of her love-which she gave without condition and without end-to anyone and everyone who needed it. Nancy was a true lady-mannered and polite, full of fire and power and strength. She raised seven children, and loved each and every one--and their partners--until it hurt: Allen (and Shelly), Ted (and Delfia), Tom (and Debbie), Julia (and Jan), Bryan (and Lori), Shawn (and Trisha), and Brady. She left behind seven amazing grandchildren: Delino, Michael, Teddy, D'Artagnan, Matthew, Christian, and Nina. And she fiercely loved her great-grandchildren: Dylan, Jade, Delilah, Archer, Raven, and Chloe. In the end, her friends--Lois Carson and Deborah Ackerman--were there to make her every moment special and comfortable; and for that, her children are grateful beyond words. The number of people who referred to Nancy as "Mom," is beyond our ability to count. She made us all better. She gave us all the gift of knowing that we are special and worthy, simply because we exist. She taught us that we count. That we matter. And that we deserve to be loved.

As you remember Nancy, reach out to someone who needs love. Forgive and forget, hold them in your heart, and show your love without condition…as Nancy did, day-in and day-out.

In the coming weeks, a memorial in celebration of her life will be announced. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Nancy's name to The Crossroads Mission.
