Neva Ellen Rose

Neva Ellen (Fletcher) Rose, 96, passed away Monday, March 7, 2011 in El Paso, TX. She was born February 8, 1915 in Plainview, TX to Robert T. and Maude Fletcher, and later moving with her family to El Paso in 1928.

She married Hobert O. Rose, September 1, 1942 in Tucson, AZ. She resided in El Paso until his Army retirement in 1967 when they moved to Yuma, AZ where they embarked upon a new career in citrus farming. They resided in Yuma until 1996 when they moved back to El Paso. While there she was involved in the Yuma Mesa Homemakers Assn and participated in numerous fund raising activities.

Neva was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters, her brothers, and her oldest son, Robert (Bob) Rose. She is survived by her husband Hobert, her sons; Donald E. (Anne) Rose Temple, TX, and Thomas J. (Joan) Rose, of Williamston, MI, and daughter-in-law, Nancy Rose, El Paso.

She was blessed with six grandchildren and five great-grand-children. Also surviving are her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Hubert and Hortense Rose, Yuma, AZ and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 18, 2011 from 12:00 to 1:45 pm at San Jose Funeral Home-East, 10950 Pellicano Drive. Graveside service and burial will follow at 2:30 pm at Fort Bliss National Cemetery in El Paso.
