Charles Leroy Holland, 88, passed away on Monday, January 27, 2014 in Yuma, AZ. He was born September 11, 1925 in Sylvester, Texas. Charles attended school until the need to help support his family arose. He was active in the U.S. Navy from 1943 to 1946 and served in WWII. He retired from the Department of Energy where he was a Line Crew Foreman. Charles was a member of Yuma First Assembly and enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with friends and family. He helped family with numerous vehicles and home projects.

Charles is survived by his wife, Reba Holland of Yuma; daughters, Sharon Vickers of Flagstaff, AZ and Missy Pratt of Colchester, VT; sons, Tim Holland (Taffy) of Carrollton, TX, Randy Holland (Ceri) of Lancaster, CA, Bryan Holland (Paulene) of Elizabeth, CO; brother, Bill Holland of Mesa, AZ; sisters, Patricia Lee of Hemet, CA and Wanda Wood of Mt. Vernon, IN; 11 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 2 great great-grandchildren; and large extended family. He was preceded in death by his sisters, America Fox, Helen Stroud, Mallie Woods, and Jeannette Halford; brothers, Clifford Holland and Benson Holland.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, January 31, 2014 at Johnson Chapel, 1415 S 1st Avenue, Yuma. Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 1, 2014 at First Assembly of God Church, 3000 S. Avenue B, Yuma. Internment to follow at Desert Lawn Memorial Park, 1415 S 1st Avenue, Yuma.
Pallbearers: Tim Holland, Bryan Holland, Randy Holland, David Vickers. Honorary Pallbearers: Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren and Great Great-Grandchildren.
