Judy Beasley Obituary
Judy Beasley, 79, of Yuma, AZ, left her loving family late afternoon on Monday, April 21, 2014 after a hard fought battle against ovarian cancer. She was born in Ardmore, Oklahoma on January 7, 1935.

As a young child she moved to Costa Mesa, CA, with her family. While attending high school, she met the boy next door, Robert Beasley who became a U.S. Marine. They married and began their military journey at Cherry Point, NC. Their duty stations included ones located in Hawaii, California, Massachusetts, and finally Yuma. She loved the military lifestyle traveling to various states and making new friends - many becoming life-long ones.

Judy was a homemaker (domestic engineer), devoted mother and fun-loving grandmother. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, baking, working crossword puzzles and spending time with her grandchildren. Her favorite pastimes were playing cards, reading, playing bingo, and bowling. Judy bowled in various leagues, annual local and state tournaments. She especially looked forward to going to the national tournaments which always included sightseeing and loads of fun with her long-time bowling gals.

Judy is survived by her daughters, Liz Gabriel of Yuma and Susan (AI) Virgilio of Newport News, VA; grandchildren, Jennifer (Mike) Sells of Yuma, Amanda Gabriel of Yuma, and Maci (Alberto) Marquez of Ft. Hood, TX; great-grandchildren, Robert Timothy Myers, Lily Roberson, Holleigh Elliott, Caleigh Roberson of Yuma, Rosalynn and Michael Marquez of Ft. Hood, TX. She was preceded in death by her spouse, Robert Beasley; her parents, Mary Bernece Wallace and Jewel Hedges.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 24, 2014 at Funeraria Del Angel, 795 W. 28th St., Yuma. Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 25, 2014 at the same location.
