Rezso Zahorak III, age 78, passed away after a lengthy illness on Monday, April 21, 2014 at the Capri Care Center in Phoenix. He was born May 1, 1935 in Budapest, Hungary. His education spanned from Budapest, Hungary where he received a BA Degree in Agriculture from the Budapest University before moving to Ottawa, Ontario Canada in 1965, where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Medical Technology from the University of Ottawa. He worked at Sick Children's Hospital in Toronto, Ontario as an Advance Registered Technologist (A.R.T) specializing in Hematology and there he set up their Coagulation Department. Rezso also worked at Mount Sinai Hospital and at a private Laboratory in Toronto, Ontario. He moved to Galveston, Texas in 1969 before moving to Yuma in 1992. Rezso worked at the Integrated Clinical Laboratory until 1996. He then worked at the Yuma Regional Plaza Laboratory from 1996 until he retired as a Supervisor in 2007. He was a devoted worker, leader, and friend to all of his colleagues. His passion was "Soccer" and he loved people with a sense of humor. He was an active member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Yuma, AZ.

Rezso was a loving husband, father and devoted family man. He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Maria Nila and his son, Michael Rezso Zahorak IV of Glendale, California. He is also survived by his sisters-in-law and a brother-in-law of Toronto, Ontario, Canada and numerous nieces and nephews in Pennsylvania, Maryland.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 2, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Recital of the Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel, 795 W. 28 th Street, Yuma, AZ 85364. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 3, 2014 with the Pastor Duncan "Rusty" Monohan officiating at St. Thomas Mission Church, 350 Picacho Road, Winterhaven, CA.
