Carol "Junie" June Holmes, 74, was gathered up by the angels the morning of Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at home. She was born in Somerton, AZ July 25, 1939 to John Guy and Manda Jane Williams.

Junie was a graduate of Yuma High School, class of 1957. For years Junie drove the big bright yellow school bus and was transportation coordinator for Crane School until her retirement. Later she continued to drive, as a tour bus driver. She was an excellent driver including a back seat driver. A fishing and hunting license made her the happiest, as she loved those most. Along with her children, grandkids and great-grandkids, she was an excellent cook.

She is survived by her children, Billy Guy and Janilee (Ronnie Shaddy) Holmes Shaddy; grandkids, Justin Shaddy, Jennifer (Rudy) Maikis all of Yuma, Jessica (Ruben) Mendez of Tucson; great-grandkids, Junie Hayden, Tristen and Trey all of whom she lived for. Also survived by brother, Burnis Williams of Somerton; sisters, Madelyn Cliff and Betty Jo Hotka of Yuma, grand-dog Blues Anthony. Those that went before her were many but a few were John, Guy and Manda Jane Williams and her husband Carl Holmes and Roberta Tucker.

A special thanks to Hospice Compasses, Michelle and Peggy, Lisa, Linda, Martha, Lupita, Concha and Javier.

Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at noon at Johnson Mortuary 1415 S 1st Ave Yuma AZ. Reception following at 4480 W 8th St in Yuma, AZ.
