Elton Ray Sundust was such an extraordinary person who tragically passed away early Christmas morning. Elton was born on June 23rd, 1974 and was raised on the East Cocopah Reservation, where he learned how to sing traditional bird song and how to play the game of peon. He also worked for the Cocopah Tribe in various departments. When not working, Elton loved playing his guitar and hosting cookouts for his friends and family.
Elton was a devoted father who loved spending time with his four children. He was caring, out going, and a spirited person. Whatever he did in life, he did with all his heart.
Elton is survived by his wife; son Julian Eli Sundust; daughters, Jolene, Erva, and Elee Sundust; brother, Mason Sundust father, Gorder Coyote Jr. and numerous aunts uncles, cousins, nieces , nephew, brothers and sisters. Elton will me missed dearly by everyone he knew and loved.
Elton was preceded in death by his mother Erva Sundust, grandmother, Vivian Thomas; great uncle Malcom Sundust and daughter Esha Rain Sundust.
Pallbearers will be family and friends. Church Services will be held on Saturday January 2, 2010 at 3:00pm at the Assembly of God located at the East Cocopah Reservation Tribal Ceremonial Rites will follow at 5:00pm at the East Cocopah Cryhouse with cremations 5:00am the following Sunday morning.
