Lucille was a popular grocery store cashier from 1950 – 1979. Lucille Ball, as she was known by most Yumans, had moved to an assisted living community in Tucson and celebrated her 100th birthday last May with family and friends. Lucille will be remembered for her zest for life and living, and for the ever-friendly way she touched the life of everyone who knew her. We will miss her greatly!
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter Gwen Van Goethem of Overgaard, AZ; son Bill Ball of Tucson, AZ; son John Ball of Landrum, SC; step-son Howard Ball of San Manuel, AZ; 9 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 9 great-great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her eldest daughter Shirley Leyboldt of Prescott, AZ, who died last summer, and her husband Paul Ball, who passed away in Yuma in 1980. After Paul's death, Lucille remarried and was widowed twice --- the second time to William (Bill) Teel.
