Mary Elsie Plunkett passed away on Sunday June 16, 2013 at The Yuma Regional Medical Center. She was born December 14, 1931 to Raymond Ernest and Roberta Faye Hodges in Forest Grove, Oregon.|
Mary and Harvey married in October 24, 1974 in Vancouver, Washington.
Mary retired from Cuppies Paper Bag Company where she worked as an Executive Secretary for 10 Years.
Mary was a member of the Culver Christian Church, Culver Oregon. She was very much involved with barrel riding .She loved traveling and gardening. Mary proudly joined the Women of the Moose, Yuma Chapter 1503 in 2011. Since joining the Chapter, she received her Academy Of Friendship, which she felt such pride. Mary without any hesitation would step up to the plate and donate her time and energy to the organization. She and her husband spent numerous hours volunteering at the Lodge and Chapter. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandma and friend. She will be missed but never forgotten.
Mary is survived by her husband Harvey, son; Robert Stewart (Diana) Roanoke, TX. son, Floyd Stewart (Debbie) Beaverton, OR, step-son; Daniel Plunkett (Anne) Scappoose, OR, sister, Betty Pomeroy (Lloyd) Beaverton, OR. brother; Lyle Hodges (Jackie), Three Rivers, OR. 11 grandchildren, 6 great-children as well as numerous other relatives.
Celebration of Life will be held in her honor at the Yuma Moose Lodge 1627 on July 15, 2013 at 2:00 PM located at 13441 S Frontage Rd.
Final Resting Place; Willamette National Cemetery Portland, OR.
Donations may be made in her name to the Hospice Compassus of Yuma.
