Archer, Gaynelle  
Gaynelle L. Archer ZANESVILLE: Gaynelle Louise Archer, 83, of Zanesville, Ohio, passed away at 6:29 P.M. Thursday, May 26, 2016, under the care of Genesis Hospital in Zanesville. She was born June 4, 1932, in Zanesville, a daughter of the late Ira and Mary E. Lutz Wentworth. Gaynelle will forever be remembered for the sweet and caring woman she was. Gaynelle has touched many people's hearts and enriched many lives. She loved being in the kitchen cooking anything and everything. She loved spending time with friends and family more than anything and always put family first. She cared deeply for others and would do anything for anyone. In Gaynelle's earlier years, she loved shooting guns, family events, and enjoyed camping. She enjoyed collecting dolls and angels, going shopping at stores and spending time with friends and family around the holidays. She was always able to bring smiles to everyone's faces and fill everyone's life with much laughter. She attended church at Trinity Lutheran. Surviving are her husband of 52 years, Charles H. "Chuck" Archer Jr. of the home; sons, Randy P. (Tina) Archer of Roseville, Scott A. (Tammy) Archer of Zanesville and Terry E. Krouskoupf; grandchildren Eric (Ashley) Archer, Erin Archer, James Archer, Casey Archer, Cole Carpenter, Paige Carpenter; great grandchild Ryan Foster; and a very special niece Carol Smith. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Jessie M. Roberts; and a brother, Gary T. Wentworth. Friends and family may call from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. Patricia A. MacLaine ZANESVILLE: Patricia A. MacLaine, 83 formerly of Zanesville, passed away on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at Barathaven Alzheimers Special Care Center in Dardenne Prairie, Missouri. Patricia was born in Zanesville on February 8, 1933 the daughter of William and Madolyn (Collins) McCormick. She worked for over 25 years as a secretary at Philo High School and previous to that she worked for the Times Recorder in Zanesville. After her retirement she volunteered at Good Samaritan Hospital for over 16 years. She was 1951 graduate of Lash High School, a member of the Lady Elks, a member of the Ya-Ya Girls, a member of the Times Recorder Retirees, a member of the Market Street Baptist Church and most importantly she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Patricia is survived by her son Philip (Julie) MacLaine III of Zanesville, her daughters Linda (Dave) Cole of St. Louis, MO and Elizabeth (Tom) Lianez of Zanesville; five grandchildren Jennifer Allen, Ian Cole, Katie Lianez, Kasey MacLaine and Ally MacLaine and her three grandchildren Emily, Hannah and Anthony Cole. In addition to her parents, Patricia is preceded in death by her husband Philip S. MacLaine Jr. who passed away May 31, 2013; a grandson David Andrew Cole and her two sisters Edna Wilson Pyle and Madolyn McCormick Rose. Tatman, Carl  
Carl Edward Tatman LANCASTER: Carl Edward Tatman 47 of Lancaster, Ohio passed away Friday, May 27, 2016 at Fairfield Medical Center. He was born in Zanesville, Ohio on October 3, 1968 to the late Charles Edwin Tatman and surviving Charlotte Ellen Charles Tatman. Carl was a graduate of Philo High School Class of 1987, where he was selected to attend Buckeye Boys State. He received a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice from Tiffin University in 1991. While he was in Tiffin he completed his police academy training and was a certified police officer when he graduated. He worked for the Seneca Sheriff Department, Roseville Police Department, Perry County Sheriff's Department, Lancaster Police Department and a D.A.R.E. officer. Carl was a member of the Lancaster Church of Christ, Lancaster Kiwanis, Masonic Lodge #57 F & AM, Kiwanis Baseball, East School Biddy Basketball, 4-H Leader, Parliamentarian, V.P. of Lancaster Athletic Boosters, 3rd Ward Lancaster City Councilman, Lancaster City Councilman-at-Large and President of Lancaster City Council. He was owner of ETAT Enterprises, co-chair of Save the Cannon, Fairfield County Central Committee and F.O.P. Lodge #50. He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Erica Diezman Tatman; son, Ethan Wade Tatman; mother, Charlotte E. Tatman; grandmother, Pearl Charles; and mother-in-law, Marlene Kochensparger. Carl was preceded in death by his father, Charles Edwin Tatman, brother, Curt Edwin Tatman, grandparents, Thomas Arthur Charles, Theodore Edwin and Pauline Taylor Tatman. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. in the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCASTER, OHIO 43130 with Joe McCoy officiating. Wright, Richard  
Richard H. Wright COOPERDALE: Richard H. "Dick" Wright, 89, of Cooperdale passed away Friday, May 27, 2016 at Mt. Carmel East Hospital in Columbus following a hemorrhagic stroke. He was born in Coshocton County on Dec. 11, 1926 to the late Lawrence and Thelma (Moore) Wright. He served in U.S. Army Specialized Unit, Cannon Company, 20th Infantry 6th Division, in South Pacific and Korea. He worked as truck driver and diesel mechanic for 18 years for Ward E. Lanning Trucking of Coshocton. He retired in 1989 as a mechanic from the Buckeye Fabric Company of Coshocton. He taught Auto Mechanics at River View High School 1970-71, and drove school bus for the River View District. He was a member of the Cooperdale Nazarene church for over 60 years, where he was active in youth group leadership and other church activities. He was also a Coshocton Public Library volunteer. Over the years enjoyed fishing, boating, horseshoes, golf, bowling and many other interests. He devoted his life to helping others and caring for his family. His enthusiastic love of life and people brought happiness to countless friends and acquaintances. He is survived by Mildred (Miller) Wright, his wife of 63 years, whom he married on April 25, 1953; his children, Mark (Pam) Wright of Raymond, Phil (Diane) Barcus of Powell, and Joy (Barcus)Vance of Gambier; five grandchildren, Tony Vance, Brandon Barcus, Christopher (Gena) Wright, Carly Barcus, and Matthew Wright; two great-grandchildren, Riley Vance and Aubree Wright; a sister Margaret (Wright) Crozier; and a half-brother, Jack Hittle; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Wright; and a half-sister, Norma (Gray) Rae. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw with Pastor Buck Traylor officiating. Burial will follow in West Carlisle Cemetery, with graveside military rites performed by the Coshocton Co. Veterans Honor Guard. Carol Sue Gill ZANESVILLE: Carol Sue Gill 75 of Nashport passed away on Wednesday May 25, 2016 at Willow Haven Care Center. She was born in Sidney, Ohio on January 31, 1941 to the late James and Margaret Thomas Phipps. She was a graduate of Muskingum Area Technical College with an Associate's Degree in Medical Assisting. She worked for Dr. Sandlund for many years. Carol was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She was a member of Zanesville First Church of the Nazarene and a former member of the Free Methodist Church for 50 years. She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years Donald Ray Gill, a son David Gill, two daughters: Rhonda (Mike) Mourne and Donna (Dave) Angle, five grandchildren: Jennifer Mourne, Jackie Mourne, Nick Mourne, Nathaniel Angle, and Hannah Angle, and four brothers: Leon (Dottie) Phipps, Dale (Susan) Phipps, Bruce (Janet) Phipps, and Gary Phipps. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother Roy Phipps who died in the Viet-Nam war protecting our freedom. Evelyn I. Moorehead ZANESVILLE: Evelyn I. Moorehead, 85, of Zanesville passed away on Wednesday May 25, 2016 at Genesis Hospice Morrison House. She was born in Zanesville on February 3, 1931 to the late Gordon and Edith Paynter Reynolds. Evelyn was a homemaker, seamstress, musician, and an artist. She was a member of South Zanesville United Methodist Church and was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by her loving husband William "Bill" Moorehead, daughters: Kathy (Ron) Orwig and Mary (Dan) Labaki, sons: Mark Connell and James "Jay" Moorehead, a daughter-in-law Janet Connell, a sister Mildred Needs, a nephew Stephen Needs, Eight grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandsons. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sons Bill Connell and Matthew Moorehead and a nephew Michael Needs and her first husband Robert K. Connell.
