ZANESVILLE: Dennis D. Kennedy, 71, of Zanesville, died, on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at the Morrison House Hospice in Zanesville.

He was born on July 16, 1941 in Zanesville to the late Howard D. and Evelyn L. Williams Kennedy. He was a 1961 graduate of the Adamsville High School and served his country during the Vietnam War entertaining the troops as a musician on tour in France. He was an avid gardener, hunter and fisherman.

He is survived by four brothers, Marvin, Theodore, Lonnie and Jerry Kennedy all of Zanesville; one sister, Mary L. Kennedy of Zanesville; several nieces and nephews; and a good friend, Randy Hatifield of Adamsville.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Martha (Mert) Mayle Kennedy and one brother, Robert E. Kennedy.

Services will be held on Monday, April 8, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at the Mt Hermon Church near Amesville with burial following in the Mt. Hermon Cemetery. Friends may call on the family on Sunday, April 7, 2013 from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at the Burrell Funeral Home in Zanesville and one hour prior to the services at the church on Monday.
