Harold C. "Tubby" Hindel

FRAZEYSBURG: Harold C. "Tubby" Hindel, 85, of Dresden, Ohio died Thursday morning, September 5, 2013 at his home.

Born September 29, 1927 in Washington Township of Coshocton County, Ohio, he was the son of the late Lewis and Irma (Hauch) Hindel. Mr. Hindel was an Army veteran serving during the Korean War. He was a farmer and an oil field worker having worked for Shumaker Oil. Mr. Hindel was a member of Wakatomika Post #6193, VFW of Frazeysburg. He enjoyed tending to his pumpkin and watermelon gardens.

Surviving is his wife, Jane E. (Luckett) Hindel whom he married July 17, 1979; a daughter, Beverly Walcott of Frazeysburg; six grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; one great great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Pauline (Wolford) Hindel; a step-son, John Siegel; a son in-law, Roy Walcott; a great grandchild, Quinten Moore and five brothers, Lewis, Charles, Jay, Robert and Gerald Hindel.

Calling hours will be 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8m Sunday, September 8, 2013 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 110 West Third Street.

Funeral services will be 1:00pm Monday, September 9, 2013 at the funeral home with the Rev. Al Van Fossen officiating. Burial will be in Frazeysburg Cemetery. Wakatomika Post 6193 VFW will conduct military honors.
