Jack Baker

Jack C. Baker

HEATH: Jack C. Baker, 73 of Heath, was called to be with the Lord February 10, 2013. Jack was born April 8, 1939 to the late Glenn Baker and Ella M. Baker. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Valerie (Janes) Baker; daughter Kimberly (James) Roche of Carmel, Indiana; son Kevin O. Baker of Heath, Ohio and granddaughters Kelsey Scott and Claire Roche.

Jack Baker was an unyielding Christian man who lived his life based on the principles of the "Golden Rule" or "treat others as you wish to be treated." No one, from his family to his golfing buddies, had to ever guess where Jack stood on any issue. Many depended on Jack to tell them "like it is." Likewise, everyone knew they could always depend on him for a helping hand or to simply "get things done." He was blessed with an extraordinary amount of compassion. Jack would do anything to help his family, friends and many times even total strangers.

He retired from Rockwell International in 1995 and spent his days enjoying each moment with his beloved Valerie, family and friends. He loved playing his guitar, golfing, riding his bike on the trails and cruising the country roads with Valerie in his Roadster convertible.

Jack will continue to watch over and care for all his family and friends from above and he will, somehow, find a way to relay to them his opinion on things from time to time.

At Jack's request, no public services will be observed.

Memorial contributions may be made to the or to the local humane society.

The family requests all condolences sent via www.brucker-kishlerfuneralhome.com by clicking Obituaries/guestbook entry.
