James C. Schneider(1942 - 2013)


JUNCTION CITY: James C. Schneider, 70, of Junction City, Ohio died Friday, February 15, 2013 at the home of his daughter.

Born July 2, 1942 in Ridgeway, Pennsylvania to the late J. Henry and Marjorie L. Adcock Schneider.

Jim retired in 1996 from AT & T as a supervisor and communication technician; member of Saint Patrick Catholic Church of Junction City; 3rd degree member of MacGahan Council #1065, Knights of Columbus of New Lexington for thirty four years and 4th Degree honorary life member of Bishop Fenwick Assembly #812; United States Navy Veteran from October 18, 1960 until October 16, 1964, he was stationed in Norfolk, VA. and served in Cuba; member of James E. Fisher Post #376, American Legion of Junction City, Ohio.

Survived by children, James C. (Misty) Schneider, Sondra L. Dunton and Joel C. (Leigh) Schneider; grandchildren, Brittni (Brent) Miller, Jamie Schneider, Don Dunton, Brandi Dunton, Brooke Dunton, Jaden Schneider and Haiden Schneider; nieces and nephews, Jacqeline (Don) Dayton, John Schneider, Jeffery Schneider, Janice (Paul) Weiland and Joseph (Kimberly) Schneider.

In addition to his parents, preceded in death by his wife, whom he married on October 18, 1962, Sandra L. Cook Schneider on March 8, 2005; brother, John Robert Schneider on December 6, 2002.

Calling hours will be held from 2-4pm & 6-8pm with Wake service at 6pm, 4th degree service following and American Legion services at 7:00pm on Monday, February 18, 2013 at the Roberts-Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill Street, New Lexington, Ohio.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am on Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at Saint Patrick Catholic Church, Junction City, Ohio with Father James Csaszar as celebrant.

Burial will be in Saint Patrick's Cemetery, Junction City, Ohio with graveside military services by James E. Fisher Post #376, American Legion, Junction City, Ohio.
