James "Tim" McKeown
VANCOUVER, WA: Former Zanesville resident, James "Tim" McKeown, passed in his home October 28, 2013.
He loved the Northwest, and as per his request, his ashes will be scattered into the Pacific Ocean on Saturday November 9th. A gathering will be held sometime in the near future in Zanesville.
Throughout his life, Tim served in the Army
, coached baseball and soccer, saw a lot of the countryside through driving for work, provided for his family, took care of his parents, mentored young people, ran businesses, would bet you $1 on any game, loved animals, and provided an ear to anyone wanting to chat. As one of his friends put it, he was bigger than life. The list of people who will miss his routine phone calls and corny jokes is immeasurable.
He is survived by his daughter, Sarah and husband, Enrique; his sister, Emelie and husband, Jack; cousins; nieces; and nephews.
In lieu of flowers donations are being accepted to provide needed materials to the Warrior Photo Project, a free program through a VA in Washington that helps give veterans a creative outlet through photography and digital art. https://www.youcaring.com/tim.mckeown
