John A. Toth, Sr.

CORNING: John A. Toth, Sr. 94, of Corning, Ohio died at 4:39am on Sunday, March 24, 2013 at New Lexington Care and Rehabilitation Center.

Born September 2, 1918 in Congo, Ohio to the late Steve and Elizabeth Toth.

Mr. Toth was a retired coal miner; member of Saint Rose Catholic Church of New Lexington; Corning Eagles #463; United Mine Workers of America; United States Army Veteran of WW II and member of the Corning American Legion Post #327.

Survived by his wife, Irene Barrett Toth of the home; son, John A. (Nancy) Toth, Jr. of Zanesville; grandchildren, John Eric Toth of New Albany, Jamie Ann (Tom) Carney of New Lexington and Rory Lee (Debbie) Toth of Kearneysville, W.Va.; great-grandchildren, Trace Robert Carney, Ryan Logan Toth, Kaylie Marie Toth and Aydan John Toth.

In addition to his parents, preceded in death by brother, Steve Toth and sisters, Elizabeth Dobos, Helen Pusok and Ann Sabo.

Calling hours will be held from 2-4pm & 6-8pm with Wake service at 2:00pm and Eagles services at 7:00pm on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at the Roberts-Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill Street, New Lexington, Ohio.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at the funeral home with Father Daniel Dury officiating.

Burial will be in Millertown-Oakwood Cemetery, Millertown with graveside military services by the Corning American Legion
