Laura Mae Cartwright
DRESDEN: Laura Mae Cartwright, 72, of Nashport, Ohio died Sunday morning, March 24, 2013 at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital in Zanesville.
Born May 15, 1940 in Allensville, Ohio she was a daughter of the late Homer R. and Golda M. (Kinney) Hart and was a 1958 graduate of Allensville High School. Mrs. Cartwright was a member of the Dresden United Methodist Church and enjoyed doing crafts, sewing and bowling. Her greatest enjoyment was her children and grandchildren.
Surviving is her husband of nearly 52 years, Frank P. Cartwright whom she married July 8, 1961; two sons, Bruce (Jeannette) Cartwright of Ashville, Ohio and Brian (Haley) Cartwright of Nashport; two daughters, Patricia (Wayne) Kittinger of Greenville, Kentucky and Teresa (Ted) Wells of Nortonville, Kentucky; eight grandchildren, Amber Wright, Lucretia Kittinger, Derek Smith, Kala Wells, Jessie Cartwright, Allie Cartwright, Miranda Cartwright and Logan Cartwright; one great grandchild, Kailey Wright; a brother, Gerald Hart of McArthur, Ohio; a sister, Betty (Doug) Bishop of Harrisonville, Ohio and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Vernon Hart.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 714 Main Street and also for one hour prior to the service, which will be 11am Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at the Dresden United Methodist Church with the Rev. Greg Inboden officiating. Burial will be in the Dresden Cemetery.
