Ned H. Riley

CORNING: Ned H. Riley, 74, of Corning, Ohio died at 4:18am on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at Genesis- Good Samaritan Medical Center Emergency Department, Zanesville, Ohio.

Born, August 20, 1939 in Athens County, Ohio to the late Vern F. and Letha Gould Riley.

He retired from the coal mine and the New Bakery; he was a member of the United Mine Workers, where he served as President of Local #1818 for several years; a member of the Community Holiness Church in New Lexington and a Veteran of the United States Air Force.

Survived by his wife of 58 years, Beulah Brown Riley; sons, David (Connie) Riley and Vern (Tammie) Riley; grandchildren, Amanda Bell, Anthony Riley & Rhawny Riley, David & Kayleigh Riley, Eric & Gillian Riley, Joshua & Cassie Riley, Emilie Bray, Hillary Bray, Matthew Pierce, Monica & Kevin Post; 13 great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary and Faye and a brother, Vern.

In addition to his parents, preceded in death by brothers, James, Bill & Jake and sister, Roberta.

Calling hours will be held from 4pm-8pm on Friday, May 16, 2014 and from 10am-11am on Saturday at the Community Holiness Church, 120 Thorn Street, New Lexington, Ohio.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at the church with Reverend Kenneth Teter officiating.

Burial will be in Oakfield Cemetery.
