Phillip K. Baughman

ZANESVILLE: Phillip K. (Phil) Baughman, 76, of Zanesville, passed away Friday, November 29, 2013 at his residence. He was born May 1, 1937 in Zanesville, the son of the late Ora and Elizabeth Coon Baughman.

Phil was formerly employed by McGraw Edison, Commercial Motor Freight and retired from Yellow Freight following thirty five years of employment. He was past district chairman and past president and trustee for the Zanesville Eagles Aerie Lodge #302, social member of VFW post 1058, Sons of the American Legion post 29, Amrou Grotto, Masonic Lodge Lafayette F & AM #79, 32 second degree mason, Scottish Rite Valley of Cambridge and Truck Drivers Union Local #637. He was an avid Ohio State Football Fan, enjoyed play golf at Jaycees Golf Course, and liked to drive courtesy cart during Muskingum County Fair.

He is survived by his wife of forty years, Shirley LaFollette Baughman, sons, Phil and Ted, daughters, Terri, Vickie, Angie, Tammy, and Melody, several grandchildren, several great grandchildren, several step grandchildren and special step great granddaughter Rylee

Friends may call 4- 8 pm Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home where services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery. Fraternal Order of Eagles will conduct services at 7:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
