ZANESVILLE: Robert C. Rowe, age 88, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Sunday, January 6, 2013, at the home of his son and daughter-in-law surrounded by his loving family.

Bob was a longtime resident of Zanesville where he was a member of the Rotary, Knights of Columbus and St. Nicholas Church for over 35 years. He was a top-rated salesman with NCR and retired in 1989 after 45 years. He began his new career in travel at 65 and was a successful outside sales rep for UNIGLOBE Travel in Columbus and Newark. He was born in Lima, Ohio on July 12, 1924, to the late Leroy and Mildred Rowe. He was a graduate of Kiser High School in Dayton, OH and married the love of his life, Patricia McDermott, on March 17, 1945. Robert served in the U.S. Army during World War II, stationed in the Philippine Islands and in the occupation of Japan.

He was preceded in death by his wife Pat; brother, Richard Rowe; and his son, Mitchell Rowe.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and Steve Rennick; daughter-in-law, Becky Rowe; daughter and son-in-law, Norah and John Nungesser; and son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey and Candace Rowe; grandchildren, Jennifer, Matthew, Patrick, Jessica, Colleen, Rachel, Anna, John, Breanna, Allison, Carl, Joseph, Cullen, and Darby; 10 great- grandchildren; and numerous nephews, nieces, and precious friends.

Friends and family may call from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, January 9, 2013, at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd. (at Beecher Rd) Gahanna. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, January 10, 2013 at St. Matthew the Apostle Church, 807 Havens Corners Rd., Gahanna, Farther Ryan Schmit, Celebrant. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
