ROSEVILLE: Virginia Louise Nelson, 81, of Crooksville, passed away Friday, April 11, 2014 at her residence.

She was born January 30, 1933 in Lansing, NC a daughter of the late Ullysis and Maude Lyles Ham. She was retired from the Muskingum County Sheriff's office as a cook. She was a member of the Crooksville Eagles Club and the Zanesville Moose Club. Virginia was an avid doll collector, enjoyed dancing, music and chocolate.

Surviving are her children, Johnna Smith (Donald Wolfe) of Crooksville, Philip Nelson of Columbus, OH and Christopher (Mindi) Nelson of Crooksville; two brothers, Charles (Peggy) Hamm of FL and Pete (Janice) Hamm of TN; a special cousin, Betty Kindle of TN; ten grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by the father of her children, Delbert Nelson; three sons, Michael, Seth and Timothy Nelson; one grandson, Kevin Hill; and son-in-law, Rodney Smith.

Memorial services will be held at 6pm on Monday, April 14, 2014 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 33 MAIN STREET, ROSEVILLE, with Pastor Jerry Sutton officiating.
