Alberta Stump

ZANESVILLE: Alberta Stump, 91 of Zanesville, passed away August 19, 2017 at her residence surrounded by family.

She was born April 6, 1926 in Grantsville, West Virginia, daughter of the late Dewey Cottrell and Lilly Lane Cottrell.

She is survived by her son, Joseph (Maria) Stump; daughter, Barbara (Charles) Stephenson; brothers, Marvin Cottrell, Bernard Cottrell, Calvin Cottrell; sister, Violet Wallace; ten grandchildren; several great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Stump Sr.; sons, Rev. Gerald Stump Jr., Ronald Stump; brothers, Raymond Cottrell, Robert H. Cottrell; sisters, Nora Woods and Mable Jean Trail.

Calling hours will be held 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Thursday, August 24, 2017 at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home, where services will take place at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Zanesville Memorial Park.
