REYNOLDSBURG: Gary Ashton Francis went to his eternal resting place April 5, 2016. He was born June 26, 1995 in Zanesville, OH.
He graduated from Pickerington Central High School in 2013 where he was a member of the football and wrestling team. After graduation he went to Antigua with his grandparents. He attended Antigua Barbuda International Technology studying Computer Software graduating in 2014. He enjoyed playing video games, creating music and hanging out with his friends and family.
Preceded in death by maternal grandparents, French and Maxine Mayle of Zanesville.
Survived by mother and step father, Wendy and Jessie Martin of Reynoldsburg; father, Gary Francis of Zanesville; brothers, Jared Mayle of Yokosuka, Japan in the US Navy, Tyler and Devere of Columbus; sisters, Zoe Francis, Kia and Mackenzie; grandparents, Hazlyn and Stanley Francis of Antigua, Jessie and Kim Jones of Delaware and Lance and Minnie Alexander of Zanesville; uncles, Gregory Francis of Antigua and Pat Mayle of Zanesville; aunts, Kathy Francis of Kentucky, Karen (Marvin) Hill of Newark, and Beth McKee of Zanesville; and special aunt and uncle, Jill and Mike Beauford of Zanesville and a host of family and friends.
Funeral service Tuesday, March 12th 11am Chapel of CALIMAN FUNERAL SERVICES, 3700 Refugee Rd, Columbus, OH Pastor Richard Dunbar, officiating where the family will receive friends Monday 6-8pm and Tuesday 10am until the time of service. We, the families of The Compassionate Friends, send you our heartfelt condolences. The Compassionate Friends is an international grief support group for parents, grandparents and siblings who have suffered the heartbreaking loss of a child. Our only mission is to provide comfort, hope and support to every family experiencing the death of a son or daughter, brother or sister, or grandchild, and to help others better assist the grieving family. We meet monthly in Columbus from 7-9 PM on the second Tuesday of each month at Ascension Lutheran Church, 1479 Morse Road, Columbus, Ohio 43229. If and when you are ready to do so, please join us. Wendy, Jared, Jill , G, and all that love Ashton....there is just absolutely no words that will bring your pretty baby back or even heal your hearts this morning.
