Freda M. Parsons

ZANESVILLE: Freda M. Parsons, 85, of Zanesville, passed away at 2:30

AM Sunday, March 31, 2013 at Highland Oaks in McConnelsville, under Hospice care.

She was born July 22, 1927 in Zanesville, Ohio the daughter of the late William and Mary Trickett Bell. She married her husband Richard L. Parsons August 10, 1946.

Her hobbies were gardening, reading, playing canasta, and enjoying her pets. Mr. and Mrs. Parsons served as Foster Parents for several years through Muskingum County Children Services.

Mrs. Parsons is survived by daughters, Kathy (James) Tom and Lesta (Mike) McCoy both of Zanesville, sons Michael (Martha) Parsons of Mt. Vernon, Mark (Karen) Parsons of Tucson, and Jeffrey (Deborah) Parsons of Nelsonville, sisters Grace Sowers and Ruth Murphy, 14 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Richard L. Parsons who passed away February 13, 2010, and a brother Kenneth Bell.

Private calling hours will be held from 12 noon to 2:00 pm Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home where private services will begin at 2:00 pm with Rev. John Edwards officiating and son Pastor Mark Parsons assisting.

Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the Avondale Christmas Fund.
