ROSEVILLE: Gerald Ray 'Chico' Novaria, 71, of Roseville, Ohio passed away at 10:15 PM, Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at his residence surrounded by his family following an extended illness.
Gerald was born February 28, 1942 in Zanesville, the son of the late Harold and Ida Dora Whitehead Novaria.
Chico retired from Shelly and Sands, Inc. where he worked road construction. He was a member of Union Laborer's Local 530. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, farming and spending time with his grandkids.
Gerald is survived by his loving wife of fifty years, Janet Work Novaria; his sons and daughter-in-law, Vic and Bershann Novaria of Roseville and Curt Novaria of North Carolina; his sister and brother-in-law, Pat and Mike Inman of Roseville; his brothers, Tom and Bev Novaria of Zanesville, Rodger and Andy Novaria of McConnelsville and his grandchildren, Hannah 'Peach' and Tyson Novaria.
He is also survived by many devoted and loving family members and friends, too numerous to name.
In addition to his parents, Gerald was preceded in death by his brothers, Greg, Rick, David and Dean.
Family and friends will be received 2-4 and 6-8 PM, Thursday, May 16 at GOEBEL FUNERAL HOME, 36 N. BUCKEYE ST., CROOKSVILLE. Funeral services and celebration of Gerald's life will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, May 17 at the funeral home with Pastor Albert Laese officiating. Burial will follow in Stovertown Cemetery.
