NASHPORT: Harold J. Denman, 85 of Nashport, died 3:55 AM Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at Forest View Health Campus following a lengthy illness. He was born Thursday, September 1, 1927 in Zanesville, the son of Lester J. Denman and Lola Marie (Wiles) Denman. Harold served this country as a veteran of The United States Navy during World War II. He was a self-employed carpet installer. He was an active member of the VFW and American Legion and former member of Eagles, the 40/8, the Moose Lodge, and the Ohio Defense Corp.
Harold is survived by three sons: Leslie Allen (Diane) Denman of North Carolina; Myron J. Denman of Nashport; and Moose (Susan) Denman of North Carolina; eight grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; one brother: Keith (Patsy) Denman of Zanesville; one step-sister: Shirley Maddinger of Zanesville;
three brothers-in-law: Ray Knight of Pickerington, Dallas (Marge) Moyer and Skeet (Donna) Moyer both of Columbus; four sisters-in-law: Lois Denman of KY, Thelma Denman of Zanesville, Maggie Denman of Massillon and Barb Fletcher of Frazeysburg.
In addition to his parents, Harold was preceded in death by his first wife: Geneva I. (Moyer) Denman who died March 5, 1970; his second wife: Ruth I. (Myers) Denman who died January 31, 1983; five brothers: Paul, Dwight, Kenneth and Ronald Denman and infant, Donald Denman; one sister: Patricia Knight and his step-mother: Leona Denman.
