Irene V. Cottrell

ZANESVILLE: Irene V. Cottrell, 86, of Zanesville passed away August 5, 2011 at Genesis Hospice.

She was born March 10, 1925 at West Virginia, the daughter of the late John N. Vincent and Vina Copen.

Irene was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was employed at BF Goodrich and during WWII she was a "Rosie the Riveter".

She is survived by daughters Sharon R.(Keith) Stevens, Geneva K. Cottrell both of Zanesville, half-sisters Joyce and Mary of Florida, grandchildren Robert Watton, John Newton, Jeremy Stevens, Jessica Harper, Melissa O'riain, five great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded by her husband Robert H. Cottrell a WWII veteran, son Robert D. Cottrell, sister Osie Miller, three younger siblings.

Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 Monday August 8, 2011 at the DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home where services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday August 9, 2011.
