Janet L. Johnson

ADAMSVILLE: Janet L. Johnson, 86, of Adamsville, Ohio died Monday morning, January 14, 2013, at Willow Haven Nursing Home in Zanesville.

Born February 19, 1926 in Columbus, Ohio she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Mildred (McElwee) Shoemaker and was a homemaker. Mrs. Johnson was a member of the New Hope Lutheran Church of Adamsville and the Lutheran Church Women. She was also a member of the Adamsville Homemakers.

Surviving is her husband of over 69 years, Paul Johnson whom she married May 15, 1943; two sons, P. D. Johnson of Zanesville and Ron (Gloria) Johnson of Orange Park, Florida; two daughters, Beckie (Skip) Yinger of Zanesville and Jodi (Kelly) Ryan of Nashport; ten grandchildren, Terry Johnson, Todd Johnson, Doug Yinger, Dusty (Cassandra) Yinger, Dawnielle (Wayne) Jacobson, Michelle Johnson, Chaz McClure and Kallie McClure, Cole (Amity) Ryan and Clay Ryan; four great grandchildren, Cameron Johnson, Jaden Johnson, Ashley Stewart and Corbin Ryan and many good friends and neighbors.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters, Dorothy Ruperd and Shelby Lee and a grandchild, Bailey Rae McClure.

Calling hours will be 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm Friday, January 18, 2013 at the New Hope Lutheran Church, 7025 Adamsville-Otsego Road, Adamsville, Ohio 43802.

Funeral services will be 1:00pm Saturday, January 19, 2013 at the New Hope Lutheran Church with Pastor Mary Molnar and the Rev. Jay Jackson officiating. Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to New Hope Lutheran Church Building Fund, care of Ron Spiker, Treasurer, 7665 Bradford Road, Adamsville, Ohio 43802.
