MCCONNELSVILLE: Jean Frances Hickerson, 86, of McConnelsville passed away at 12:45 a.m. Monday, October 21, 2013 at her home.
She was born December 31, 1926 in Coshocton County to the late Howard Hartley and Laura Smith Hartley.
Jean was a homemaker and was a member of the Pennsville Church of Christ.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Elton C. Hickerson; two daughters, Carol (Leo) Pierce of Cortland and Naomi (Dean) Wright of McConnelsville; a son, Danny (Vicky) Hickerson of Pennsville; nine grandchildren, Jen Wright, Kristin Campbell, Michael Wright, Lonnie Pierce, Angela Hickerson, Gabriel Hickerson, Casey Hickerson, Amy Hickerson and Emily Noel Hickerson; six great grandchildren, Braydon and Cameron Hoskinson, Carley Wright, Adisyn Hoskinson, Chase and Pierce Campbell; two sisters, her twin sister, Irene Mills of Zanesville and Pauline Garber of Wooster; two brothers, Robert Bob Hartley of Wooster and Harold Hartley of Duncan Falls.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by four sisters, Evelyn Ilene Hartley, Marjorie Fouty, Lucille Greuey and Betty Gianotto; and a brother, Cecil Hartley.
Calling hours will be Thursday, October 24, 2013 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville and from 10:00-11:00 am. Friday, October 25,2013 at the Pennsville Church of Christ where funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. with Evang. Sam Bartrug officiating. She will be laid to rest in Pennsville Cemetery.
