Pauline Alice Apperson

SENECAVILLE: Pauline Alice Apperson, 91, of Senecaville passed away Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at Autumn Healthcare surrounded by her loving family.

She was born October 9, 1922 in Reinersville to the late Otis Alden and Carrie Josie Hopkins. She graduated from Reinersville High School.

Pauline worked on the family farm her whole life with her loving husband, John Bernard Apperson. She and John had three children, Doris (Alvin) Fuller of Old Washington, Delores (Richard) Carter of New Concord, and John (Vickie Pavlik) Apperson of Lore City. She and her husband raised their children to appreciate the value of education, integrity and hard work.

Pauline was preceded in death by her husband, John Bernard Apperson, in 2000; and her five brothers, Donald, Guy, James Hubert, Leighton Douglas and her twin brother, Paul Alden Hopkins.

Pauline was known for her delicious pies, her beautiful flower gardens, and her deep love for children, grandchildren, and great grand children. She was well-loved by her grandchildren and spent many hours reading their favorite books to them. Her five grandchildren are Evelyna (Tom) Moore of Newark, Sabrina Fuller Kropp of Solon, Deanna Fuller of Turin, NY, Chris (Elizabeth) Carter of New Concord, and Chad Carter of Cambridge. She was also blessed by two great-granddaughters, Sara JoAnne Moore and Amelia Carter. She was very happy about future great granddaughter, Vivian Alice Carter, due December 3, 2013 who will be named after her; she is also survived by two sisters-in-law, Ruth and Dorothy Hopkins of McConnellsville and brother-in-law, Ronald (Debbie) Apperson of Zanesville and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours to celebrate her life will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday at Black-Epperson Funeral Home in Senecaville where services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, with open viewing at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Rick Cox officiating. Burial will be in Senecaville Cemetery.
