Virgil LeRoy Seenes
ZANESVILLE: Virgil LeRoy Seenes, 75, of Zanesville, passed away at 3:25 p.m. Saturday, December 29, 2012 at Cedar Hill Care Center. He was born July 25, 1937, in Zanesville, a son of the late Hiram and Glenna Jones Seenes. He had worked for Ballas Egg before retiring after 15 years of service as a laborer for Owens Brockway. He attended the First Church of the Nazarene.
Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Ruth Brown Seenes; two sons, Charles R. Seenes of North Carolina and Earl Besser of Georgia; a daughter, Sheila (Kevin) Hina of Zanesville; 10 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and two brothers, Richard Seenes of Akron and Carl Seenes of Canton.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Jay, Lester, Hiram Victor and Charles Seenes; and four sisters, Doris Lee, Hazel Wilhite, Carroll Seenes and Kay Seenes.
Calling hours will be held from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 W MILITARY RD., ZANESVILLE. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 3, 2013 in the Snouffer Chapel with Rev. Steven Dupler officiating. Virgil will be laid to rest in Greenwood Cemetery.
