Daniel Wayne Aronhalt

COSHOCTON: Daniel Wayne Aronhalt, age 89, of Coshocton, Ohio passed away on Sunday, January 15, 2012 at this home. He was born on September 10, 1922 in Coshocton County to the late Harold B. and Winifred D. (Stiner) Aronhalt.

He served in the United States Navy, and was a Veteran of WW II. He worked at St. Regis Paper Company. He was a member of the Conesville Wesleyan Church and the FCV Volunteer Fire Dept. On December 6, 1941 he married Waneta A. (Thompkins) Aronhalt who preceded him in death on August 19, 2001.

He is survived by his seven children, John (Judy) Aronhalt, Sally (Denny) Balo, Kathy (John) Guthrie, Becky (Michael) Hart, Mary (Donovan) Shivers, Martha (Steven) Vaughn and Scott (Madge) Aronhalt; 16 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren; one brother, Otis "Jack" Aronhalt; and three sisters, Gertrude Stewart, Helen Totten & Shirley (Bill) Wilson.

He was preceded in death by a brother, James Aronhalt; and three sisters, Leona Reigle, Catherine Spang and Maxine Kohl; five brothers-in law and two sisters-in law; and one grandson.

A funeral service will be held at Given-Dawson Funeral Home in Coshocton, Ohio on Friday, January 20, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Jeremiah Durham officiating. Burial will follow in Coshocton Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends and neighbors from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, January 19, 2012 at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Friday.
