DUNCAN FALLS: Shirley L. Mack, 54 of Duncan Falls, died peacefully at 5:05 AM Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at her home following a two year illness.

She was born Wednesday, December 23, 1959 in Zanesville, the daughter of Paul E. Mack and Myrtle E. (Bates) Mack. Shirley attended Starlight Workshop for many years. She was a huge Ohio State Fan and loved Elvis. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 29 and FOE Aire 302 and Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary.

Shirley is survived by one brother: Paul E. & Patricia Mack, Jr. of Nashport; two sisters: Marilyn Ireton of Duncan Falls and Gloria Monroe of Zanesville and many nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews; special friends: Susan Reynolds, Terri Rambo, Kurt & Mary Lou Agin, Mary Wade, Becky Knicely, Steve McFarland and the bingo girls.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers-in-law: Mark Ireton and James Robert Monroe.

Friends may call from 2:00 to 4:00 & 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Thursday, May 15, 2013 at The Hillis, Combs & Nestor Funeral Home, 935 Forest Avenue, Zanesville where a Christian Vigil will be held at 7:45 PM. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, May 16, 2014 at the funeral home with a Dominican Father as Celebrant. Burial will follow in the family plot in Mount Olive Cemetery. In lieu of flowers Memorial Contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Ohio, 2269 Cherry Valley Road, SE, Newark Ohio 43055 or Kidney Care Center of Zanesville, 3239 Maple Avenue, Zanesville, Ohio 43701 in Shirley's name.
