William J. Stuck

ZANESVILLE: William J. Stuck, 76, of Zanesville, entered into eternal glory on Sunday, December 9, 2012.

He was born on January 10, 1936 in Adena, Ohio the son of the late Walter F. and Kathryn Doyle Stuck. He was raised in White Cottage from the age of 10. He graduated from Roseville High School in 1954. He served in the United States Army from August 1959 until August 1961 at Fort Belvore, VA. Bill was an easy going man and never knew a stranger. He was a good husband and also a great father and grandfather to his step-children and grandchildren. He was a brickmason by trade and belonged to the International Bricklayers Union Local #44. He was a gold card member with over 50 years in the brick trade. He was a superintendent for Paul Contracting, Inc. until his retirement in 1998. He was a member of the Springfield Lions for many years, K of C Council 505, Elks Lodge IBPOE, West Muskingum Athletic Association and ran the chains for football games for over 20 years. He loved sports, his favorite being golf which he played most of his life and he enjoyed O.S. U. football. He was also a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Church. He also loved raising bassett hounds. He married Billie Stewart Cox in June 1997.

He is survived by his wife, Billie Stuck; step-children, F. Randy (Kelly) Beem and Roxanna L. (John) Beem Parker; step-grandchildren, Jordan C. Parker, Rhett A. Beem, Austin D. Parker, and Macy Ann Beem; one sister, Bernadette "Boots" (Don) Spear of Fort Wayne, IN; one brother, Bernard T. (Carol) Stuck of Newark; one brother-in-law, Francis W. (Barbara) Stewart of Tulsa, OK; one sister-in-law, Darlene Stuck of Antwerp, OH; two nephews, Bob Stuck of Newark and Mike Stuck of Antwerp; four nieces, Kelly Muehlmeyer, Shannon Sanderson, and Lynn Fike of Fort Wayne, IN and Missy (Chris) Odon of Olmsted Falls, OH; also a very special family friend, Bernard Baldwin, his wife, Betty and their children, Steve, Craig, Terri and Julie.

In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by his first wife, Kay Eveland Stuck in 1993; one brother, Regis Stuck in 2011.

Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at William Thompson & Son Funeral Home, 5765 Gladstone Drive, White Cottage. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 A.M. Thursday, December 13, 2012 at St. Thomas Aquinas Church with Father Ed Gorman officiating. Burial will be in Mount Olive Cemetery.
