ROSEVILLE: Richard Lee "Dick" Tolliver, 76, of Roseville, passed away Friday, December 14, 2012 at his residence. He was born October 20, 1936, in Crooksville, the son of the late Clyde and Mildred Theisen Tolliver.
He graduated from Crooksville High School Class of 1954. He had worked as a meat cutter for Tolliver's on Main Street in Crooksville and retired as a maintenance supervisor for Friendship & Hartstone Pottery and Gibson Meat Packing. Dick was a very well known man and made a lot of people laugh especially when he was playing Santa Claus. He was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church and the Zane Trace Players. He was a past member of the Roseville School Board, MRDD of Perry County and Roseville Board of Public Affairs. He was past president of the Roseville PTO for 11 years, started the Clothe a Child Program, was treasurer of the Crooksville Community Center and was very active in the Crooksville/Roseville Pottery Festival.
Surviving are his wife, Drusilla (Leeth) Tolliver of the home; two sons, Rich (Shelley) Tolliver of Trinway and Mark Tolliver of Columbus, OH; two daughters, Rhonda (Dan) Abele and Martha Staley, both of Roseville; five grandchildren, Cassie Cappel, Eric Abele, Aaron Staley, Matthew Tolliver and Shane Snack; and three great- grandchildren, Jack, Emma and Brady.
Calling hours will be held from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Monday, December 17, 2012 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 207 BURLEY ST., CROOKSVILLE. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at the Church of the Atonement, 320 Winter St., Crooksville with Father Martin J. Ralko as celebrant. Dick will be laid to rest in St. Joseph Cemetery, Crooksville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Zane Trace Players, 148 N 7th St., Zanesville, Ohio 43701.
