DRESDEN: Douglas B. Jamison, 62, of Dresden, Ohio died Monday evening, June 3, 2013 at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital in Zanesville, Ohio.
Born October 27, 1950 in Zanesville he was the son of the late Richard B. and Jennette M. (Krebs) Jamison and was a 1969 graduate of Tri-Valley High School. Mr. Jamison was a former explosive technician at Peabody Mine. He later operated Doug's Bar in Dresden. Doug loved music and playing the guitar. He enjoyed doing pottery, playing basketball and taking care of his animals. He was an avid Ohio State Buckeye fan and one of his greatest joys was doings things with his children and grandchildren.
Surviving is his wife, Vickie L. (Foster) Jamison whom he married August 11, 1979; one son, Tyler (Susan) Jamison of Dresden; four daughters, Tasha (Evan) Abood of Sonora, Ohio; Alexander Jamison of Zanesville, Tiffany Arnett of Alliance, Ohio and Stephanie (Brandon) Filer of Richmond, Virginia; thirteen grandchildren; a sister, Valarie (Ted) Levengood of Sugarcreek, Ohio; a son in-law, Rodney Arnett; two nieces and many close friends.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm Friday, June 7, 2013 at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 714 Main Street.
Private memorial services will be conducted at a later date.
