Bryan Dicks Obituary

Bryan Wayne Dicks

ZANESVILLE: With heavy hearts we would like to announce the unexpected passing of our brother, Bryan Wayne Dicks, age 48 on Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at his residence. Bryan was born in Zanesville, OH on January 23, 1966. He was the sixth son of late William D Dicks Sr. and the late Barbara C. Dicks. He graduated from Philo High School in 1984.

Bryan was preceded in death by his father William D Dicks Sr., December 31, 2012; his mother Barbara C Dicks, May 29, 2011 and his brother, Richard Pearl Dicks in February 1961.

He is survived by his son, Jeremiah Marcum and his granddaughter, Rebecca Marcum of Nevada. Bryan is also survived by his brothers: William D. (Trina) Dicks Jr. of Marion, OH; David T. (Yvette) Dicks of South Zanesville, Jeffery A. (Phyllis) Dicks of Zanesville, Stephen G. Norman of South Zanesville. Bryan is also survived by Glenda Dicks of Zanesville, as well as several nieces and nephews and his favorite companion, Scruffy.

Bryan was an avid NASCAR Fan, cheering on his two favorite drivers Rusty Wallace and Brad Keselowski! You always knew who won a race as he would post it on Facebook for all to read. Besides NASCAR he enjoyed fishing, even though he was a catch and release kind of guy. Bryan was also cheering on the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Dallas Cowboys. He lived for all of his favorite sports!

Calling hours will be held at Delong and Baker Funeral Home, Monday, June 2, 2014 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm with a service following directly afterwards. Pastor Joy French will be officiating the service.

Donations may be made to the funeral home.
