Herman Spring Obituary
MCCONNELSVILLE: Herman Ray Spring, 85, of 5124 Hendron Road, Apt 2B, Groveport, Ohio, 43125, formerly of McConnelsville, passed away at 12:05 AM Sunday, March 8, 2015 at his home.
He was born May 4, 1929 in Deavertown, OH, son of the late Harry Samuel Spring and Eva Mariah Newsom. He was employed at Gould as a shift supervisor in the bearing division and retired from ODOT as a road supervisor. He was youth leader, Sunday school teacher and a long time elder at Main Street Church of Christ in McConnelsville, OH. He enjoyed attending church, drinking coffee at the Blue Bell and bowling with his team members, the Grouchy Four.
He is survived by his wife of sixty-five years, Ruby Trout Spring, whom he married December 31, 1949; sons, Roger (Debra) Spring of Groveport, OH, Russell (Barbara) Spring of Blacklick, OH; daughters, Linda (James) Fryman of Cynthiana, KY, Renita (Michael) Tackett of Pikeville, KY, Carol (David) Mabon of Bartlesville, OK; twin sister, Hilda (Robert) Tharp of South Bend, IN; 16 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren and two on the way; and sister-in-law, Donna Sue Spring of Indiana.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Lloyd (Molly) Spring, Harry Edwin Spring; sister, Anna Belle Talbott.
Friends may call from 5pm to 8 pm Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at Main Street Church of Christ in McConnelsville where services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday with burial at McConnelsville Cemetery.
