Esther Eberle Obituary

EBERLE-Esther Marie, 84, died Sunday 2/17/08 at Eisenhower Memorial Hospital in Palm Desert, CA. She was preceded in death by parents; sister, Alma Ullrich; three brothers, Raymond Eisenach, Melvin Eisenach and Floyd Eisenach. Survivors include two sons, John Scott Eberle of Saudi Arabia and Robert Steven Eberle and wife, Mary Zarangoza-Eberle, Lake Forest, CA; daughter, Susan Lynnette Eberle, Palm Desert, CA; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, her loving sister-in-law, Audrey Eisenach, Fort Wayne, IN and many, many friends. She was a blessing to us all. Esther was born the daughter of Jacob and Elizabeth Sauer Eisenach, 12/21/23, born in a small farm house in Mitchell. Her early childhood years were spent on the farm and later in Gering, with her parents and her many brothers and sisters. She graduated from the Gering High School with the class of 1941. At this time, she met and married John Willard Eberle in Gering, NE in 1946. The couple was blessed with two sons before moving to Omaha where they were again blessed with the birth of a daughter. She was devoted to her Lord and Savior having been very active in the Mt. View Presbyterian Church as the church circle. Before retiring at the age of 65, she made many friends at the hospital and at church. She loved baking, cooking and had the most envious flower and bulb garden in the neighborhood. Lasting friendships were important to her and she always looked forward to high school class reunions, visiting day and night with school friends as they planned and anticipated the next reunion. In 2003, she moved to Palm Desert, CA to be close to her son and daughter, but never forgot her roots in Nebraska. She was especially excited about the Nebraska Cornhuskers football team and was delighted to see that the current coach would be replaced for the upcoming season.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday Feb. 27, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at the Fairview Cemetery in Scottsbluff with Rev. Ron Nuss-Warren officiating. Visitation will be on Wed. Feb. 27th from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Jolliffe Funeral Home Chapel. Jolliffe Funeral Home Chapel

My prayers are with you, Robert and Scott. Esther was always a joy with me.

Her spirit for life, you and family was a faith that can not be replaced except with the spirit which will always remain with all that had the pleasure of knowing her.

She will be missed and remembered always.
