Hedwig Bloodgood Obituary

Bloodgood, Hedwig Lange, born to Charles and Emilie Fischle Lange at their home in Anaheim on April 6, 1904, died in her Anaheim home January 10, 2009 surrounded by family. She worked at the family's grocery store in West Anaheim, and attended Otis Art Institute in Los Angeles for 2 years. She owned a camera store and worked as a photographer and lab technician for the area's local newspapers. She was a member of the Business and Professional Women's Club of Garden Grove, an author and speaker for the Historical Society of Anaheim. She was preceded in death by her 4 sisters, Anita Lange, Else Partridge, Hildegard Hill and Wilma Williams, leaving behind her daughter, Dixie (Jack) Hulley; grandson, Michael Hulley; granddaughter, Tamara (Peter) Yung; great-grandchildren, Kyle Yung, Marissa, Michelle, and Matthew Hulley; numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and her beloved caretakers Nelson Zita and Magdalena Leveille. Funeral Services will be Saturday, Jan. 17, 2009 at Hilgenfeld Mortuary at 11:00 a.m. Hilgenfeld Mortuary
