Joan Moiola Obituary

Moiola, Joan S. (Dunham), born May 4, 1934 left this earth at 3:55 on June 23, 2007 due to a complication from cancer. She was in her home with her family and friends when she passed. Joan was married to the late Fred Moiola, a city councilman and farmer in Fountain Valley. She was affiliated with Moiola Brothers cattle feeding and ranching. During her lifetime she loved the arts and was a contributor to the Orange County Performing Arts Center, Huntington Harbor Art Association, Assistance League, St. Jude Hospital and Rehabilitation Center and the Fred Moiola School. Joan was a member of the Huntington Beach Yacht Club and Helter Skelter Ski Club. Joan was also fond of all outdoor sports and loved to entertain with family and friends. She is survived by her son, Craig Moiola and daughter-in-law Alison Kelley Moiola; grandchildren, Juliana and Steven Moiola of Brawley, California; her son Jerry Moiola and daughter-in-law Tena Moiola of Wildomar, California. A services were held July 2, 2007 at the Westminster Memorial Park Chapel in Westminster, California. The family would like to thank you for your prayers, kind words and gestures. In lieu of flowers the family asks for gifts to be made to the Sherman Library and Gardens or the Fred Moiola School's Music Department. Joan came to the Fullerton Union High School All-Alumni Pow Wow luncheon for several years so she kept in touch with many of her high school friends. We will all miss seeing her there in the future.
