I worked with Javier at Magic Kingdom and I was going through a tough time when I lived in Orlando, he treated me like he had known me my entire life. He was a great friend at a time when I needed it the most, 2003 & 2004 were the toughest years of my life. I think of him from time to time. It´s unreal to me it´s almost been 20 years. If any of his family still comes here to read memories I hope it eases your heart to know that Javier was an amazing human that left a lasting impression, I was 3000 miles away from my family and he was a great friend. I´m still sad that I only knew him for a short time, but almost 20 years later I still think of him and the friendship we had all that time ago. May he continue to rest in peace and I pray his family are doing well.

It is hard to believe it has been over a year since Javier passed away. To his family I hope you always know Javier is looking over you and he is in a safe place. To his Disney friends always remember how he made use all laugh even if we where having bad days at Parades. To Javier I am so greatful for the period of time I got to spend with you. You are truly missed and will always be in my heart. I am glad to know you will be in heaven to make me laugh when it is my turn to go.

Cuando somos amigos de verdad sufrimos el mismo dolor. Hubiera querido despertar, al igual que tu, pensando que todo era una pesadilla y que todo continuaria igual pero no fue asi. Ahora nos enfrentamos a la triste realidad de la ausencia de Javier. I just want to thank you for always making me smile. I went to MK on Saturday and as I walked around the park I touched the ribbon that we are all wearing because I though of you not just of the accident, but the laughter you brought to me and the things you did to make us all laugh. It was way to soon for you to leave us, but we are all lucky to have known you while you where here. I know your family and friends miss you a great deal and so does your Disney family. I want you to know time will heal and things will change, but I will never forget you. Nor will I forget last July 4th when you had all of us rolling on the floor with laughter because you made all of us sing just to pass the time. You have left me with many great memories and I wish there could have been time for more, but I am blessed for having gotten to know you.

Every time we seen you, you was always smiling and joking around with your kids Jr and Jasmine, and our daughter Andrea. Who thought you was so funny because you always made her laugh. No matter if you had a rough day or problems you was always smiling. It has been a great honor and privalige in meeting you and your family. You will be greatly missed. We just have one thing to let you know We will always be there looking out for your kids, We will always be there for Jr and Jasmine. I just wanted to give my deepest condolinces to the family. I was very pleased to have met Javier while I was working at Disney. He was truely a pleasure to work with and made me smile when I was at my worse. He was wonderful at making me feel better when I felt like I had nothing to smile about. He was a wonderful person and I am sure that it will carry through to his children.

When I first heard what happened I didn't want to believe it.I was at work and my wife called me at work and told me to call my sister as soon as possible! I called and they told me the bad news. I couldn't stop crying. I was going to be the best man in my friend's wedding.I called him and told him that I couldn't do it because my brother-in-law died! When I called in sick the next day my job couldn't believe it. They said to me "something must be wrong because you never call in sick" I told them I had to be there for my sister and my niece and nephew (Javier JR. and Jasmine).The most beautiful thing I saw were all the people who show up to give support for our family and they had great stories about him.He was a great brother-in-law,a great friend, and even a greater dad to my niece and nephew, You will be miss! Javier, was one of the most compassionate, joyful & generous people I have ever known. These were traits that he learned and shared with his family.
When he lived in NY, he was one of the leaders on the youth group I attended at my church. He was a great example for me during his time here. Javier was the most special of all the friends I have ever had. The news hit me very very hard and I am still having a hard time coping with it. I love Javier very very much and will always treasure the times we shared, both at Disney and outside of work. When I dropped to seasonal status and moved away, Javier was very sad and always told me how much he missed me and wanted me to come back. Well, I say the same thing to him now. The same day I heard about what happened, I received a letter in the mail from Javier stating how much he missed me. It is comforting to me to know that even as he has moved on, I am still in his thoughts. I dont understand why Javier was taken and in my opinion is happened too soon in his life. They say that a star that shines so bright burns out quickly. Javier definitely shined very very brightly. I want Javiers legacy kept alive. I am going to spend my time to make a book about the wonderful person Javier was, with the help of his other friends and family.
Javier, I love you dearly and I am sorry I never answered you before now, but know that in my heart the answer is yes.

To his (current) fellow castmates, I know you will go on with the show like always. You are professional and dedicated, but every now and then just remember Javier gave his life for the show, keep his spirit alive with you.

Javier will always be part of my memories of working at Disney. I'll remember him as a castmember who- even though he wasn't working in custodial as I was- took time to visit with me. As such a hard worker- he started in custodial, I often visited with him as an attractions greeter, and later I worked with him as a character. Que siempre me ayudaba con el espanol... con paciencia y entusiasmo! He always encouraged me to practice my spanish- patientely :) But most of all I'll remember him as a very positive person who could so easily brighten my day with a kind word or a smile. Javier set an outstanding example, even if I only knew him at work, of how we should all try to live.

I am so very sorry to hear about Javier. I do not personally know him, however, I am so thankful for the person he was. I think it takes a special person to spend time entertaining children and adults alike the way that he did.

I never had the pleasure meeting Javier personally--I read of his passing in a Disney discussion group. The news was broken by another Disney cast member who spoke very highly of him. Judging from the messages I have read, he must have been a well-loved man, who gave of his good nature to everyone. Such people are rare treasures. Jefe, there are not words to describe the joy and laughter you have brought into the lives of literally millions of people onstage, and probably just as many backstage. I take with me the memories of our days at Lion King, and the joys of parade as well. After performing with you for almost 5 years, seeing you go is like saying goodbye to a best friend. God works in funny ways. We never know when we will be called to go to a better place, what we will be doing, what we will be wearing, where we will be...Javier went to that better place doing what he loved, dressed as what he loved and in a place that he loved. I worked with Javier a few times as goofy and as a driver for Spectromagic. I cant remember when there wasnt a smile on his face. As a Disney Character we each give so much each day to all the guest and rarely get much back but i can say it hurts when one of your own falls. Ever since I heard about this tragedy, I can't get the image of Javier rolling down the slope in the tunnel on a wheelie chair during a break, screaming and making funny noises. He constantly made me laugh and I will love him for that forever.

Javier was a wonderful person. He will live in our hearts and minds forever. He always brought sunshine into everyone's lives at Walt Disney World. Now he will continue to bring sunshine from heaven. I know we will all see him again someday when we leave this earth. For now, I miss you Javier with all of my heart and soul! I love you!

My good thoughts and prayers go out to Javier and also to his grieving family and friends. I may have seen Javier portraying Pluto, Eeyore, or in the Lion King show -- I'll never know for sure. But anytime I've seen those Characters or that show, I always was smiling and loving every minute of it. You're with Walt now, Xavier -- and I bet he gave you a big welcome. 8=o)

As I read through the entries in the guest book, it struck me most of all that Javier was someone who was much loved and respected by his friends, family and co-workers.
Like most people who visited Disney World, I didn't know him personally, but nevertheless loved and respected him for what he stood for and what he accomplished in his lifetime.
I was so happy to hear that he truly WAS the personification of the spirit and enthusiasm that Walt would have been so proud of.
My prayers go out to his family that they may find peace in the days ahead...I'm sure Javier is looking down on them in peace and with great love.

Javier, I only met you a couple of times but The times I did get to meet you, You were the nicest guy. I seen you as Pluto time to time making kids smile as you always did. I know your in heaven now with your angel wings and your going fly over Disney sprinkling your pixie dust making kids smile like you always did. You'll never be forgotten. We'll miss your smile but your still in all are hearts and memory. I also pray for your family and friends.

My husband and I send our heartfelt sympathy to Javier's family and friends. Since Pluto is my favorite character, I wonder now if over the past few years it was Javier that brought him to life for me and made me smile. May God bless him and his family at this sad time.

I had the honor of working with Javier, I did spectro with him many times. Although we weren't close friends, I will always remember him as a great human being. In my mind I can still see him wearing his baseball cap and driver clothes. We miss you Javier, watch out for us that are still carrying on the Pluto name.

Our hearts and prayers go out to Javier's family. Our family frequently visits Disney World and I cannot help but wonder if Javier has ever been responsible for bringing a smile to my Son's face as he brought Pluto to life...I would like to think he was.

My heart and prayers goto the family for such a large loss. It is tragic to loose a family member and even more tragic to loose a person who dedicated his life to making others smile and laugh. Some of the magic has been lost forever.

I have visited WDW, and MK in paticular, with my family on several occasions. Over the course of these visits we have had many delightful encounters with Pluto. Although I will never know if Javier was responsible for the smiles on my children's faces, I know for certain that he was responsible for many others. What a blessing to bring such joy. To Javier's family and friends, please accept my condolences at this tragic time. My thoughts and prayers will be with you all.

I am truly grateful that God put you here on earth because if He hadn't I would never know my Nephew Javier Jr. and my niece Jazmine. They are truly beautiful gifts to the world that you help create along with my sister Maribel. You are now with our maker in heaven but your children will remain behind. I hope that everyone remembers them in thier prayers so that the pain they feel lifts and they can become children again. I wish your family well and hope that everyone touched by you will always remember that you have beautiful, loving and kind children. I did have the honor of knowing Javier. When my friend told me about his death, I was both shocked and sad. He was such a wonderful person who could make me laugh whenever I was down. He will be terribly missed by all of the Cast Member's lives he touched.

Javier was a wonderfull guy. I got to work with him just about everyday. He will be remembered as a humerous guy that can always make someone smile.He loved his job.He looked forward to makeing the kids happy.
