Ronald Nichols Obituary

Ronald A. Nichols, age 91, of Midland, died Saturday afternoon Aug. 30, 2008, at MidMichigan Medical Center. The son of the late William and Mary (Watson) Nichols was born in Midland on Dec. 10, 1916, where he was raised and educated. Ronald served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was retired from Dow Chemical Co. and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

    Surviving are his brother, Lembert (Gladys) Nichols of Auburn; sister in law, Ruth Nichols of Yuma, Arizona; nieces and nephews; special friends, Nurse Susan and June Fournier. Ronald was preceded in death by his wife Estelle Nichols; brothers, Thomas and Robert Nichols; sisters, Florence and Ilene Nichols, Reva Teftller, Marian Callow.

    Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday Sept. 3, 2008, from Wilson MILLER Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Midland City Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by U. S. Army Military Funeral Honors. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4 to 8 pm and on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
