Skylar Angelina Nicole Wheeler

Skylar Wheeler Obituary

Skylar Angelina Nicole Wheeler, our precious angel, went to be with her grandpas in heaven on Saturday, August 30, 2008.

She was born on May 21, 2007 in Mount Pleasant, loving daughter of Blain Wheeler and Ashley DeMeyer.

Surviving in addition to her parents are her grandparents William and Jullian Wheeler, Gary and Lori Sheets, Heidi DeMeyer and Debra Hale; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Skylar was predeceased by her grandfathers, Vernon Hale and Roger DeMeyer.

Skylar was the most fun-loving, energetic, outgoing little girl. So full of happiness and smiles. She loved slurpees, the size of her head, food, puppies, shoes, swimming, but most of all her daddy. If your shoes were missing you were sure to find them on Skylar's feet. When you said goodbye she was the first to blow you kisses. We will be blowing you kisses back to the heavens. Rest in peace our Princess Skylar.

Funeral services will take place 11 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2008, from the Ware-Smith-Woolever Funeral Home, 1200 W. Wheeler St. Pastor Terry Bentley of the First United Methodist Church of St. Louis will officiate, with burial in Lee Township Cemetery.

Skylar's family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 6-8 p.m. and Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.

Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the DeMeyer/Wheeler family.

If you are unable to visit with the family in person you may send your condolences through www.waresmithwoolever.com.

Even though I do not know your family- I am so sorry for your loss.

Just know that your Skylar
was such a hero. I couldn't even imagine the loss of a child.

Here's a poem I came across

LOOK ABOVE

Look above and always know that
I am right beside you.

Look above and always know that
I will always be near.

Look above and always know that
I will always love you.

Look above and always know that
I will always care.

Look above and always know that
I will always miss you.

Look above and always know that
I wish I could be there.

I have to go to Heaven now
A place has been prepared for me.

Just look above and smile for me
But please don't shed a tear.

These are the hardest of times to
endure. My thoughts and prayers
are with your family.
God bless you and be with you.

O God, whose beloved Son did take little children into his arms and bless them: Give us grace, we beseech thee, to entrust this child, Skylar Angelina Nicole Wheeler, to thy never-failing care and love, and bring us all to thy heavenly kingdom; through the same thy Son Jesus Christ our Lord, who liveth and reigneth with thee and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.
