Robert Hintz Obituary

Robert "Bob" William Hintz, 79, of Midland, died Monday, Aug. 25, 2008 at his home.

He was born the son of Charles August and Elizabeth K. (Short) Hintz on April 8, 1929, in Midland, where he was raised and educated.

Rob served in the United States Army during the Korean War and returned home in November 1952. He then began his career at the Midland Post Office, where he worked until his retirement in 1983.

During his lifetime Rob furthered his education through several advanced study programs.

He is survived by his brothers Clarence (Viola) Hintz, Floyd (Carleen) Hintz all of Midland, several dear nieces and nephews and his beloved cats.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers Wilbur and Murl, and sisters Geraldine Hintz and Clara May (Hintz) Kelly.

Funeral services for Rob will take place at 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 8, 2008, from the Ware-Smith-Woolever Funeral Chapel, 1200 W. Wheeler St. Pastor George Eagle will officiate with burial in Midland Cemetery.

Full military honors will be presented under the auspices of the Midland Area Veterans.

A gathering time for family and friends will take place at the funeral home on Monday from 11 a.m. until time of services.
