Richard S. Lincoln

Richard S. Lincoln, 70, of Sanford, died Thursday morning, Sept. 4, 2008, at his residence.

The son of the late Arthur W. and Alberta (Feltman) Lincoln was born in Midland on Oct. 4, 1937, where he was raised and educated, graduating from Midland High School. Richard had been employed with Hawkins Printing in Midland, retiring in 1994 after 35 years of service. He was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church in Sanford. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and spending time with his grandchildren. On June 1, 1973, in Midland, Richard married Patricia Letts.

Surviving are his wife of 35 years, Patricia Lincoln; daughters, Dr. Elizabeth Lincoln and her husband Max Frederick of Albany, Ore., and Kelly and her husband Anthony Hasenfratz of Beaverton; grandchildren, Jessica (Michael) Berthume of Clare, and Aubrey and Ian Hasenfratz of Beaverton; brother, Joe (Jan) Lincoln; sister, Pat (Tom) Gray all of Midland; and many nieces and nephews.

The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 8, 2008, at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Sanford. Father Jim Hast OFM, Cap will officiate. Cremation will follow with interment of his ashes in St. Agnes Cemetery.

Visiting hours will be held at the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and at the church on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.

A Rosary service will be held Sunday evening 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be offered to St. Agnes Church or the American Lung Association. Personal messages of support for the family may be offered at www.wilson-miller.com.
