Evelyn Mosley Obituary

MOSELY-Evelyn Oletha Mosley, 90, Born June 22, 1917 in Huntsville, Texas, went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, May 8, 2008. Evelyn had a vibrant personality and loved life and those around her. She had a smile that would light up any room. H er enthusiasm and love for people was endless. She graduated from Sam Houston High School in Huntsville and continued her education at Mary Allen College, a historically Black Junior College for young ladies in Crockett, Texas. Evelyn was a member of St. James N.M.C. in Huntsville, Texas; People's Independent Church of Christ and Divine Guidance in Los Angeles, California; and, for the last 9 years, a faithful member at First A.M.E. of Pasadena, California. She resided in Huntsville Texas, Los Angeles Calif ornia and was an Altadena resident of 9 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley mother and father Irene and Edward Hightower. Evelyn is survived by her daughters Dell Gooding and Saundra Hamilton; grandson, Christopher Hamilton; sisters, Ida Teamer and Irene Dailey (L.C.); brother, Alvin Hightower (Doris); along with numerous nieces, nephews, family and special friends. Memorial Service; Thursday, May 15, 2008, 11:00 A.M.; 1st AME Church, 1700No. Raymond Ave., Pasadena CA 91103. In Lieu of f lowers contributions may be made to: the Evelyn Mosley Memorial Fund, 2230 Lincoln Avenue, PMB 300 Altadena, Ca 91001.
